Concept & Inspiration

Shipping made easy for the individual seller.

Centralized shipping platform made for individual sellers to help organize manage shipment and orders from multiple carriers and selling platforms.


Background

Project: OpenSource ERPs Hackathon which required integrating with the ShipEngine API

Scope: 2 days

Role: UX/UI Design & Market Research

Tools: Figma, Slack, Keynote

Team: 4 teammates including 1 frontend dev, 2 backend devs, and a UX/UI designer


What It Does

Centralized shipping platform made for individual sellers to help organize manage shipment and orders from multiple carriers and selling platforms.

Features

Help organize and manage shipping for orders by a tagging and filter system.

  • Import orders from different selling platforms to keep all data centeralized for easy management and tracking.

  • Offers price comparision through different carriers based on specific shipping needs per order.

  • Offer carrier center location comparisions based on geolocation.

  • Keep track of all shipment statuses regardless of carrier used.

  • Purchase and make multiple shipping labels from multiple carriers at once.

Challenges We Ran Into

  • Defining and deciding on a clear MVP.

  • Creating user friendly design Interfaces that weren't too busy with information.

Accomplishments & What We Learned

  • Being able to work well together, being a team of such diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

  • Working with a completely new team of developers / designers that come from different backgrounds. How to communicate well within a team to achieve the same goal.

What’s Next

  • Further develop and connect with other APIs to help certain user efficiencies.

  • Create a mobile version
